Moved!!!

On election day, I sat, as most of the country did, glued to my television set rooting for my candidate. I watched in awe as the President elect gave a speech that brought me to tears (of joy). I was completely moved by a variety of things that he said, and his gift with words. I had goosebumps for the duration of the speech. I am so encouraged by the change.

My dad made a really cool observation, though I am sure he is not the first to make it. The president that issued the Emancipation Proclamation, Abraham Lincoln was from Illinois, and our first African American president...from Illinois.

Pretty Cool.

I was moved too. THANK GOD he was elected!

Hey -- I can't get emails to you. They come back saying you're rejecting me. That hurts. Something you want to tell me? Sniff, Sniff.

I have an invitation I need to email you...

Anon--
Ignorance truly is a crime, but perhaps a bigger crime is hiding behind the anon title to spout about things you clearly do not understand.

As far as I can tell, if you live in the U.S., he was your president too. What bill are you talking about? If Bill Clinton alone signed in "this bill" that you imply is the down fall of the US then: 1. Why didn't George Bush do something to get rid of this bill during his terms in office, and 2. What power does the president really have in our nation. Maybe you would be well served to have a lesson in middle/high school civics and the distribution of powers. The president of the United States does not have ultimate power...he does not alone make or sign bills into power, this was the intent of our founding fathers. Ask yourself this- Who was in charge of the house and senate during the Clinton administration? This question alone might give you some insight into the state of the nation.

Clinton turned a big deficit left by his predecessor (a Republican) into the biggest surplus America has ever had.

Bush(2) did the exact opposite.

Inform yourself...stop pointing fingers, laying blaming and hiding behind ignorance.

Learn about your country, how it runs, what is good for economy and the country, and stop believing the easy to believe B.S. that most people spout. That or move to Canada.

Best Wishes
