The Unveiling of...The Cake!!!

Ok so the cake was not as bad as I thought it would be. It was definitely a challenge though.

Take a look for yourself! It was a hit with the b-day girl...and that was a relief! It was tasty too. I am kind of hoping that she gets into horses or something someday...I am getting tired of purple and pink icing. Hardy Har HAR. It was my first ever attempt at icing roses and frankly I impressed myself on those.

Happy 5th Birthday to "My Girl"...

Eve is my mini-me...scary for her! I hope I am a great aunt. I have some pretty amazing models through my own aunts. You have provided me with poetry inspiration...I am going to work on one about my aunts...Thank you!!!

I love seeing my nieces and I will love it more when I finish my grad class this summer so I have more time to spend with them. With a nephew on the way (yipee) my son and I hope to make train cakes and play more Legos than Barbies in the coming years. H.D. is so glad he will not be the only boy grandchild any more.

Thanks for your comments...hope to provide better blog fodder now that it seems my readership is changing and expanding! :o)

Just think...where would your cake decorating skills be if I didn't present you with new and interesting challenges each year. I do it out of love.
