So on to the important stuff where birthdays are concerned. GIFTS!
My mom and dad bought Scott and I early birthday this year, we got a beautiful hardwood bookshelf when World Market was closing in Omaha. That was a great prezzie. We bought a second as the closeout sale brought lower and lower prices. (Yes we needed two, had books in boxes that we could not even get to or use.)
I was trying to make a list of things I could use, more for myself than anyone else. This always serves as a back to school list for me too since I head back on the 3rd of August.
Ideas:
Worms--More to come about this tomorrow.
Birkenstocks--The following 3 designs and colors are on the top of my list.

Gift Certificate to The Avenue.
New Kitchen "stuff"--And by "stuff" I mean EVERYTHING. It is my firm belief that at 10 years of marriage everyone should have a "Hooray you didn't get a divorce shower." Don't get me wrong, I love my husband, the name of the shower does not imply unhappiness. I just think that at about 10 years all your stuff is sufficiently worn and you could use some new.
A new couch.
The piece de resistance a Nikon D60 camera.
I really do have champagne tastes and a beer budget, just ask my husband.

Hope you have some rich parent, grandparent, aunts or uncles or children. Because that is a little over the top! My thought is if I really need it that bad -- I will buy it myself. I don't need others to give me stuff because I am my own person! So get a good job and you will have what you want, when you want and be able to go where you want.
Birthday and other musings was not a request for "stuff". "Ideas" does not = buy all of this stuff.
I am not sure how... "I was trying to make a list of things I could use, more for myself than anyone else. This always serves as a back to school list for me too since I head back on the 3rd of August."... is "over the top."
Clearly I think I said that "this always serves as a back to school list for me".
I have a great job, and AM my own person. If you took the time to read my blog or knew anything about me you would know that.
I am always amazed at how ignorant and illiterate people really can be. Take the time to read and decode, or better yet don't read my blog at all.
Had you "thought" at all you would have read the post and understood that it was not intended as a solicitation for gifts. Although, I do indicate that gifts are important (watch any child on their birthday and you know this to be true). I was using "GIFTS!" as a bridge in to talking about a lovely gift that my parents bought my husband and I this year.
I detest holier-than-thou Anonymous posters. Nut-up judgmental fools.
I agree completely DW. It's your wish list and also your blog, so post what you want. If someone doesn't like it, then he/she doesn't have to read it. I'm glad the anonymous poster is so very much his/her own person that he/she revels in telling others what they should wish. Such cliche advice. Duh super genius. So does this mean that on your birthday, anonymous poster, that you don't get any gifts because you tell the fam you'll buy it yourself. Pull your head out of your booty and get a clue. You're annoying.
Denise,
Just read your blog! Still have a thing for RED SHOES?? Guess Grandma O should be responsible for that one! Do you remember your red patent leather shoes that Grandma got you when you were about 2. You were not allowed to wear them -- but Grandma let you wear them all over the place! You were so cute with that red hair and cute red shoes!! LOL brings back memories. And the camera if you get that it is the best! I got a bigger lens. OH MY GOODNESS I could take pics of your nose hairs with it!! LOL (Do you have any of those??) Well if not, WAIT!! They just come out of no where and you look like a old man with long hair coming out of the nostrils. LOVELY LOOK!! So don't forget to add tweezers to your list. OK love ya talk to you soon!
Aunt Robin
I absolutely remember my red shoes, and have many a pair in my closet that are red. I have a pair of Birkenstock clogs that I wear to school that are red and kids love them. Since I have that damn posterior tibial tendonitis I am having to wear Birkenstocks almost exclusively, which bums me out but at least there are some cute ones.
I do not have the nose hairs...THANK GOD. Plenty of weird ones other places though. I always have a good pair of tweezers on hand!
Please DON'T take pictures of nose hairs...your pictures are always awesome and I would hate to think otherwise of them! :)
Hope you are having fun with Grandma.
Love to everyone.

Denise,
Glad to hear you still love red shoes!! My memories of you as a little kid are with those red shoes on! Such a cutie! I could see Eve being the same way since she looks so much like you!
No I don't take pics of nose hairs. LOL! Just can get that close. But I do love to take pics of flowers. Check out Jenn's Pics of flowers on my blog. She has also got the talent for pics. Guess it is in the blood. I love my new lens and have gotten some great shots of sports.
We are having a great time with Grandma.
Since I started working full time, don't have much time to get on the computer or blog myself. Besides working full time have been working overtime since I have the chance. So I am pooped when I get home and glad it is summer so I don't have to run the kids around!
And I can go in the pool (THAT IS AT LEAST IF IT EVER STOPS RAINING HERE!!) We have had 18 days of rain out of 23 days. So we have not had pool time! I can't wait for sun to shine, get some tan, go to the beach, eat some calamari at the Beach Hut!
I will take some time off while Grandma is here to go do some stuff -- don't know what or when but we will make time. She is resting since she is so tired. Which is good she will leave refreshed and relaxed. Think she needs to take a little more of that time for herself.
Well, I am on my lunch, need to get back to work. I am so busy! Love you Bunches and give that new Baby a kiss for me!! He is so cute! Jennifer can't wait to come to see all her little cousins! She wants to come back with Grandma!!
Love
Robin
Ps What is with that Anonymous??
